Role Summary

We are looking for a highly organised and logically-minded individual who is a self-starter and seeks an exciting leadership position within a fast-growing SaaS company to work in our London HQ office in Hammersmith.

The role will be a champion and enabler of the company values and culture, as well as driving positive employee experiences to build a credible employer brand that attracts and retains a high calibre of talent as the business continues to grow.

The business currently has c80 people with plans to grow to 200 by 2023.

The role best suits those who have a hands-on approach and can think outside of the box and are keen to work in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

This is a diverse role, but a summary of some of the of these responsibilities are:

  • Taking overall strategic ownership of the People Department and leading from the front to build People related systems, processes and support needed to cater for 200+ employees

  • Taking overall responsibility for the talent acquisition initiatives to achieve the significant growth targets for the next 24 months

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team on employer branding strategies and talent assessment frameworks

  • Lead initiatives that foster a continuous learning and development culture to ensure that all employees have clear career paths, performance is managed, and employees are clear on expectations enabling them to perform at their best

  • Drive initiatives that improve employee lifetime value, retention and productivity

  • Own the compensation strategy in alignment with profitability goals and values

  • Support the central onboarding processes

  • Championing company values and lead by example on these

  • Continue developing our transparent feedback culture

  • Championing and leading health and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Lead initiatives for effective diversity, equality, and inclusion management across the employee experience.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or senior managerial People function
  • Must have experience working for a hyper growth, tech-driven scaleup (either Series A, B or C)

  • A passion for building a world class people function, with knowledge across the full spectrum of people related processes and activities

  • Hands-on recruitment expertise - ideally across a range of sectors, i.e. Tech, Data, Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations at all levels

  • Strong knowledge and experience in recruitment reporting, data-driven decision- making, and people analytics and metrics

  • Clear achievements and success in previous roles

  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a “whatever it takes” attitude towards getting stuff done

  • Outstanding, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good logical thinking and self-motivated problem-solving skills

  • Tech-savvy – fully understanding of common, low-level tools and how to effectively use them; our tools include Slack, Google Business Suite etc

  • Trustworthy, friendly, and very approachable

  • High degree of flexibility and able to adapt quickly
