<h2>Your team:</h2>
We believe in Internal Open Source because it cultivates a strong spirit of collaboration and fast evolution while maintaining a high standard of quality. This way of working is made possible by using the universal language JavaScript, specifically, React, React Native and NodeJS. We also utilise Elixir in the reasoning engine used to write our tax logic. Everything runs in Docker—orchestrated by Kubernetes and powered by Google Cloud Platform.

<h2>Your responsibilities:</h2>
<ul><li>Collaborating with the team and taking direction from the PM, continue the design and redesign of the Taxfix product with a user-centric focus.</li>
<li>Contribute to technical decisions and strategy to further the long-term product vision.</li>
<li>Work full-stack with minimal supervision, offering support/mentorship to more junior members of the team.</li>
<li>Be part of the cross functional product team, working with React/ React Native and Node.JS.</li>
<li>Be involved in key product decisions and work closely with the whole team to create intuitive and reliable apps.</li>
<li>Collaborating with different teams across the business.</li>

<ul><li>5+ years experience with JavaScript (NodeJS + React)</li>
<li>Experience building solid backend services and well structured front-end applications</li>
<li>Experience with integrating with diverse APIs</li>
<li>Familiarity with Docker is a plus</li>
<li>Passionate about writing maintainable and elegant code.</li>
<li>Been working with Git, GitHub/Gitlab, and TDD.</li>

We are looking for an Engineering Manager - Growth (all genders) to start in our office in Berlin, Germany!
Your mission will be to lead one of our Growth teams who focus on Web Paywalls, Onboarding and new user experience. This role is at the heart of Growth at Babbel, and focused on delivering a key driver of our monetization equation. 
You will
<ul><li>Be the engineering lead for a cross-functional team of 5 engineers. The team also includes a product manager, data analyst, product designer, and QA analysts.</li>
<li>This team is responsible for the top of our Web funnel, from how we get to know our new users, generate excitement about our product, and serve up world class paywalls.</li>
<li>Make sure team members are engaged and complement each other in achieving common goals autonomously</li>
