<h2>Your responsibilities</h2>
<p>In this role, ​you will play a pivotal role in driving the development efforts and mentorship within our talented team. You will be responsible delivering high-quality software connectors that enable seamless data exchange between different AEC software applications. This ​involves:   </p>
<ul><li>You take part in and oversee the development Desktop Connectors across primarily .NET but also Python and Windows and Mac</li>
<li>You lead a team of talented engineers to successfully deliver high-quality software connectors on time and within scope</li>
<li>You help improve code quality, overall stability and performance but also our CI/CDs and deployment mechanisms</li>
<li>You monitor performance and improve the stability of our SDKs and Connectors</li>
<li>You foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the team.</li>
<li>You stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and identify opportunities for improvement</li>
<li>You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of connectors with other components of the Speckle platform</li>
<li>You apply best practices where most effective and balance delivering user value fast with code quality</li>
</ul><h2>Your profile</h2>
<ul><li>You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field</li>
<li>You have proven experience as a .NET Developer, and Python</li>
<li>You understand C++, JavaScript, cross-platform development, and CI/CD</li>
<li>Extensive experience in software development, and working in a fast-paced tech environment</li>
<li>You bring (first) managerial experience, you lead by example, and you are willing to dive into teams to support and help them where needed</li>
<li>You understand when to be hands-on and when you need to mentor and coach</li>
<li>You bring excellent troubleshooting and communication skills</li>
<li>Ideally, you are familiar with the AEC industry</li>

Senior/Lead Engineer

<p>We're a team that values connection and collaboration. Every day, we come together for an optional daily stand-up to discuss what we're working on and any challenges we're facing. You will be working in Speckle's Web Squad as a Senior Creative Frontend Engineer to combine the role of application developer with that of UI/UX specialist.  </p>
<p>In this role, you will be researching, designing, and implementing new features for Speckle, as well as rethinking existing functionality.</p>
<h2>Your responsibilities</h2>
<ul><li>You create prototypes and test them, run experiments, and understand their results</li>
<li>You take care of user research to wireframing and making prototypes to visualize the layout and structure of the new features or redesigned functionality</li>
<li>You release MVPs to gather user feedback and validate assumptions</li>
<li>You pay special attention to integrating the 3D viewer seamlessly with the application e.g. consider factors like loading times, model rendering, navigation controls, and collaboration features to provide an immersive and user-friendly experience</li>
<li>You strive for both good-looking and intuitive designs with a strong focus on visual aesthetics, such as layout and typography, while ensuring that the overall user experience remains clear and intuitive.</li>
<li>You work closely with our Product Designer and with developers and have a shared understanding of the design intent</li>
</ul><h2>Your profile</h2>
<ul><li>You bring strong knowledge in design- and prototyping</li>
<li>You convert a design into a pixel-perfect &amp; functioning frontend application using modern technologies &amp; approaches</li>
<li>You have experience in creating responsive designs that work equally well on devices of all sizes and capabilities</li>
<li>You value a strong desire to delight through accessible interactions centred around a person’s needs</li>
<li>You have experience with Figma and building frontends with Vue.js and Tailwind</li>
<li>You are a strong team player who can collaborate effectively within a distributed team</li>
<li>You have strong communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs and suggestions</li>
</ul><p>Ideally, you show:</p>
<ul><li>Experience in designing intuitive UIs for data heavy applications</li>
<li>Awareness of performant frontend- and web development principles &amp; concepts</li>
<li>Any experience with the following: automated UI test development, maintaining a design system, utility-first CSS frameworks (e.g. Tailwind), ThreeJS, TypeScript, Nuxt.js.</li>
